A summary to be posted for the Art Claim:  
Tony is now employed by the FBI, assigned to a team that works missing persons cases in California. He can’t believe it when Tim calls from DC to tell him that Gibbs’ boat blew up on a lake, and Gibbs is now missing. Tony travels to DC to assist in the search, but no trace of Gibbs is found. Returning back to his job in LA, Tony is still devastated by the loss. One night, he meets an attractive young man on a beach and they begin a relationship. However, more surprises come down the road to shake up Tony’s world, including Gibbs’ journals that Tim finds and sends to Tony to read. Through the journals, Tony learns that Gibbs secretly harbored romantic feelings toward him for many years, which leads to Tony re-evaluating how he truly feels about Gibbs. It also leaves him more determined than ever to find out what happened to his former boss.

This story picks up at the end of Truth or Consequences (s7e01). Saleem Ulman kills Ziva before Gibbs is able to take him out, and the team deals with the fallout of her death. Gibbs and Tony get closer as they deal with what happened (by the end of the story, they are contemplating a relationship). The title is from a quote from Coco Chanel: Guilt is perhaps the most painful companion of death. Besides the usual NCIS crew, the story includes Eli David and Dr. Miles Wolf from s10e02 'Recovery.'

He finds Jackson Gibbs still visiting, and also finds a very sexy shirtless Gibbs working out back. There is mud and passion and that leads to an all-day fuckfest. Looks like they have a future and everything is fine - until an unannounced visitor arrives, wanting to talk to Tony. And then the team members show up for an impromptu dinner. Things do not go well.

So, I apologize there are going to be several posts going up here today.

Wow! I haven't posted stats since December 2021? Ten months? Of course, I haven't really been writing much either.

I really want to complete my stories. It helps to keep track of them, so they're not forgotten.

My WIP writer's statement:
My name is Jacie, and I have 2 WIPs.

Notes:

So 2 WIPs, plus I've signed up for SeSa, and I also have a piece of artwork I created last year that I decided to KEEP instead of using for the RB. I haven't even started writing THAT story yet. And my kind of thing, I was going to use it for the Big Bang, however, I really want to always submit a summary to the claims. That's the thing about the challenge. I want to encourage participation and artists do get discouraged when authors do their own artwork. Although, if someone is running late for the claims, I'm not going to say they CAN'T do their own art. We have so few stories in the challenge that one more story is a good thing.

Completed:

I have completed one story since my last post, it's my 2022 NCIS Big Bang story.

Two Roads
(Formerly ***** bunny - I'm not saying the bunny name as it's a huge spoiler for the story...LOL. Not that anyone actually reads these notes.)

I worked really hard on this one. I think it has a unique twist. And some readers have agreed! I was concerned that since it's set in later seasons (especially the end of S18 and early S19), that people wouldn't read it. I'm a bit disappointed by the low number of kudos. I think this is one of my 10 best NCIS fics, but it seems destined to be in the bottom 10 of the year by kudos. *le sigh*. I'm not complaining (because it is what it is), but it does make me sad. It is my 100th NCIS fanfic!
Summary:
Tony left NCIS and is now employed by the FBI, assigned to a team that works missing persons cases in California. So this one, I was concerned we may have more artists than summaries. I wanted something to offer if that were the case and all artists wanted to participate (like last year, when I offered up Temping Poses). This is not good. Also, I knew it was headed in the 5000 Micro-Bang level, and all the other stories are over 20K this year. I really had no interest in submitting a crappy 5K story in that field. But I'll probably finish it one day...maybe. Basically, Tony and Gibbs take their Dads fishing to break the news about their relationship. Senior is being Senior.

I really enjoy the series called Ghosts, the US version. So I thought, what if Gibbs takes Tony to Woodstone Manor for a holiday vacation? Still working on it. My thought is to have it ready for the HHC. I think I could make it work for Dec 9 Holiday Vacation or Dec 23 Blizzard/Snow (anything related to snow). We shall see. Not sure it will get where I want it to be in time. I did sign up for SeSa, but assignments aren't out, plus my brothers are coming for Thanksgiving.

Another thing I started this year, instead of making NEW posts for WIPs, I generally am keeping the SAME post and just add to it. It just keeps everything in one post so it's easier for me to follow when I was actually writing, instead of looking at 20 different posts. Plus, other than when I FORGET to copy and paste my LJ posts over to DW, that will cut down the number of posts here.

I started this as a possible second Big Bang story, in case we were short summaries for the claim. Fortunately, this one wasn't needed as it's a bit of a stinker. Plus, ALL the other entries this year are over 20K. I don't think this will even make it to 10K. So yeah, definitely not Big Bang material unless we were short summaries.
